As our Warehouse Supervisor, what are you responsible for?
The top priority and responsibility for the Warehouse Supervisor is to maintain a safe working environment for themselves and those around them, in accordance with New Zealand workplace laws and regulations, as well as complying with any additional EH&S requirements determined by Johnson Controls or local management.
Oversee the New Zealand Distribution Centre in a hands on role with scope for project work.
Review and improve warehouse layout, workflow, and processes in line with JCI requirements.
Oversee and assist with inbound goods; check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoice, follow up any discrepancies or errors when required.
Label goods as required, kitting as required, general ownership of the inbound function.
Operate machinery to lift items to and from high levels counterbalance / reach experience.
Ownership of the Pick, Pack & Ship process for outbound orders, ensuring fast and accurate order fulfilment.
Oversee and complete regular Cycle Counting and annual stock take of the New Zealand Distribution Centre to ensure ongoing inventory accuracy.
What will you do :
Management of in country projects such as a Domestic Freight Tender or warehouse process improvements.
Receipt and verification of incoming consignments.
Complete day to day warehouse functions and supervise any additional operators within the warehouse.
Participation in regular Cycle Counting and Stock Take activities.
Recommend improvements in warehouse practices.
Perform regular housekeeper duties in compliance with OH&S standards.
Assist with ad-hoc projects for other Business Units as agreed by L&D management.
Complete required administrative duties in a timely and accurate manner.
Serve technicians and external customers as required.
Comply with any Johnson Controls mandatory training and participate in any internal or external training as advised by L&D management.
Oversee continuous improvement opportunities and implement best practice solutions where possible.
What you will have :
Project management and process improvement experience.
Maintain up to date Forklift license.
Knowledge of Dangerous Goods handling, storage and freight.
Strong grounding in Warehouse Health & Safety requirements.
