About the role
Our Accounts Payable department is going through major change. We have some lofty goals we want to achieve. Automation, efficiency, process improvement, reporting / analytics, world class department, do any of these grab your attention?
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the 2 x Accounts Payable Transformation Leads are newly created roles to provide a level of specialisation and a point of escalation to resolve issues and problems promptly and effectively.
This is naturally a leadership role, without the accountability (although could be in time!) and is designed to release the Accounts Payable Manager to focus on team and project management activities.
We have one role that will be 18mths fixed term and one permanent. This is because we envisage with all the amazing automation and efficiencies we'll drive, we'll only require one role permanently in the future.
This application is for the 18 months, fixed term position.
As trusted advisors and the go to people in the team, these roles will have a significant impact on and input into the Accounts Payable workflow, service levels, quality and turnaround times.

Every role has its challenges right!? Change at pace is one of those. Not only this but balancing the BAU with the projects is going to be critical.
Naturally achieving the projects is going to mean less hands on the BAU so it's a win : win! We've set some high reaching goals so it's going to be about working collaboratively with the Accounts Payable Manager, and the rest of the team to make it happen.

These roles are based in our Support Office in Newmarket and provides a development pathway to the Accounts Payable Manager role - so seize the opportunity.
A change agent by nature, you're passionately curious and can think innovatively and implement change with speed. You'll have a strong understanding of the Accounts Payable process, ideally around the 5 years mark coupled with systems implementation, improvement and automation of Accounts Payable Systems.
We use Greentree so previous experience is naturally an advantage, but if you've utilised other system(s) and can learn quickly - we'll invest in training you.
Needless to say, being an excel guru up to the level of at least pivot tables etc is part of your toolkit.
You'll be proactive by nature and a driver of continuous improvement. If you don't like change, this role isn't for you! Have we talked enough about change yet!! You'll be able to show us in your previous experience your ability to be an advocate for change and promote process improvement and business change projects.
Your past experiences reflect your proactive, adaptable and resilience self. But equally able to crucially think and problem solve.
There is stacks to do, so you'll relish high volume, multiple task management and multiple stakeholders asking you for information.
This means your interpersonal skills across all levels is second to none, including clients and suppliers.
You'll be able to show us your strength in solution focused initiatives, have the customer always front and centre and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
