Emerge Aotearoa is a social services organisation providing a range of services to whānau, including Health and Disability, Youth and Emergency Housing.
Our kaimahi all have a common goal - helping people realise their potential with the aim of supporting people to live their best life as independently as possible.
Our Service :
This service (Te Ao Marama) is a five bedroom, 24 / 7 residential service supporting whānau who currently require sophisticated interventions from a dynamic team of people who have a focus on the recovery and rehabilitation.
In this service Danielle will be your manager. Dannielle is a supportive manager who draws on the strengths of team members to create a safe, nurturing space for whānau where they can realise their potential and reach their goals.
The Role :
While there is nothing average about a Support Worker position, your average day will go from handover with the team, to 'out and about' with whānau - appointments, visits within the community, and teaching life skills such as budgeting, cooking etc.
Implementing interventions and strategies identified by the clinical team for the people we look after is an integral part of the Support Worker role.
The team at this service is small and work very closely with one another.
This is a permanent full-time role. The successful applicant will need to be available to work Monday - Sunday on a 24 / 7 rotating roster, including night shifts.
What's in it for you?
