Capital & Coast District Health Board (CCDHB) and Hutt Valley District Health Board (HVDHB) invest over $1.6b a year in the health of our communities and people from the central region.

We are on a unique pathway developing and implementing innovative models of care across our DHBs that deliver better health outcomes.

To do this well, the DHBs are investing in their capability and capacity to use integrated data sets from across the 2DHBs and our regional DHB partners to improve our 2DHB hospital network production planning and health outcomes for the people and communities we serve.

This is important to translate data into meaningful, clearly presented, analysis, creating transparency, new perspectives and understanding that supports innovation and drives informed discussions and decision-making.

We are seeking applicants who want to develop their career and step up to a senior level health insights analyst role. You must be able to think creatively, accurately and function well in a fast paced team.

You like to use a multidisciplinary environment to drive change. If you are wanting to be part of an expert team that supports and enables our DHBs to use information to create insights you should consider this opportunity.

Skills & Experience

This role requires a strong background in analytics with experience working with large and complex datasets. You will need a proven track record in building analytically informed arguments, cost-benefit analysis and exemplary modelling skills that create business, service and organisational insights.

You will be quick to understand the operational side of the organisations and able to identify opportunities to effect strategic change across the hospital network by looking at short, medium and long-term impacts including clinical, social and financial.

Key will be your stakeholder engagement skills. Health sector experience is desirable but not essential.
