Bay Venues Ltd manages the ASB Baypark Stadium and Arena along with a number of aquatic facilities, indoor sports facilities, community centres and halls offering a broad range of events, venues and programmes, including our Baykids programmes, across Tauranga and the wider region.

Baykids provides programmes and events for children, including school holiday programmes, after-school care, pre-schooler activities, coaching clinics and birthday parties.

We currently have three permanent part time vacancies for active and enthusiastic individuals who love to be part of the action.

As Programme Facilitator, you will be responsible for undertaking the set-up, presentation and operation of the programmes, and the space where they occur, facilitate the programmes with enthusiasm and clear instruction, and administer the necessary programme documentation.

Working with a professional attitude, enhancing relationships with colleagues, customers and the community, and ensuring safety of all participants is a top priority.

To be successful you must :

  • Hold a current and full Drivers licence;
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children;
  • Thrive on working with children and engaging in kids activities
  • Be a committed team player, who is able to act in a proactive manner;
  • Be confident, energetic and physically fit;
  • Be friendly with a positive and helpful attitude;
  • Have the ability to retain professional demeanour and think clearly when under pressure;
  • Have the flexibility to work across all of our programmes / facilities.
  • Previous experience in the recreation or childcare industry, as well as holding a Diploma in Sport Recreation or Childcare would be advantageous, although not essential.

    We are offering 12 hours per week, with rostered shifts between 2pm - 6pm Monday to Friday, with an increase in hours over the holiday period.

    Remuneration is $17.00 per hour plus enviable staff benefits.
