Bay of Plenty District Health Board 1.0 FTE (80 hours per fortnight) We invite applications from suitably qualified senior Registered Nurses who wish to apply for the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist Trauma Service.
This permanent position is an exciting opportunity to further develop your nursing practice knowledge and leadership in the Trauma Service setting.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist, Trauma, in partnership with clinical stakeholders is employed to advance client centred care, education and support within the District Health Board, to lead the advancement of an integrated Trauma service.
The role is responsible for coordination of Trauma services and case management of the severely injured patient across the district.
In addition, using best practice evidence, the role will contribute to the professional development of medical, nursing and allied services in providing specialist care to patients who have sustained traumatic injury.
The ideal applicant will have relevant experience in trauma nursing such as acute surgical, intensive care or emergency nursing.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist role leads evidence based care delivery in complex trauma case management; along with contribution to the collection and management of trauma data and reporting.
This role maintains vital links within the region as part of the Midland Region Trauma Service. We are seeking applicants that have embedded CARE Values, a culturally anchored approach, expert clinical knowledge in the field of trauma and would like to extend their case management skills.
