An exciting opportunity has arisen for a nurse with significant experience in palliative care, end of life care or gerontology to join Hospice Waikato’s Education and Training Service as a Clinical Nurse Specialist -
Age Related Residential Care (ARRC) Liaison. It is our preference to appoint a nurse at the level of clinical nurse specialist.
However, we are prepared to consider applications from a registered nurse who is committed to a development pathway that would enable them to be appointed as a clinical nurse specialist in the future.
The role involves providing specialist palliative care nursing expertise to support staff in age related residential care facilities.
It also includes developing and delivering informal and formal education in collaboration with the wider education and training team to a range of internal and external health professionals.
You will be required to provide coaching, mentoring, and clinical support alongside aged care health teams. In undertaking this role, the CNS ARRC Liaison will contribute to their own development and the collective growth and development of the palliative care team at Hospice Waikato.
