Community Mental Health Professional (Nurse, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker) Mental Health Services for Older People (Full Time)

  • Ongoing education and support Mental Health Services for Older People is a community based service, based on the Greenlane site.
  • We provide specialist assessment and treatment for adults aged 65 years and over who are experiencing mental illness and / or cognitive change.

    Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to optimise the function and wellness of older adults with the aim of supporting them to continue to live as independently and meaningfully as possible.

    The multi-disciplinary team provide assessment, treatment and management of complex health needs in collaboration with service users and their families / whānau.

    This is an opportunity to join a growing service that will support you to provide excellent clinical care and an ideal opportunity to develop your existing mental health knowledge and nursing skills.

    This role is ideal for mental health nurses who have experience and skills working in a community setting with people from a range of cultural backgrounds.

    An interest and aptitude for working with older people is essential. You will have strong clinical and risk assessment skills, excellent communication and be able to actively contribute to a supportive team environment.

    You will be a registered Mental health professional (Nurse, OT, Social Worker) registered in NZ with a current Annual Practising Certificate and a full, clean driver’s licence.
