We are seeking

an experienced senior RegisteredNurse with a passion to join our Senior Nursing Team as a Duty NurseManager.

In this role you will work autonomously and beresponsible for the co-ordination and management of patient flow processes forChristchurch Hospital : weekdays, after hours, weekends and PublicHolidays.

You will demonstrate a wide-ranging career expertise and apragmatic, organised approach with an obvious passion to multitask and makesound decisions on the go.

These skills will be key to your success in thisinteresting, challenging and varied role. With opportunities to learn anddevelop your own skills, you can help us build on our reputation for excellentservice delivery.

Post graduate experience in leadership andmanagement and / or experience in nursing leadership is a definite advantage butall applicants will be considered based on the applicants’ career experience,and desire for a senior leadership position.

This role is at times is both challenging anddemanding, plus at the same time is rewarding and never dull! Therefore, we arelooking for someone who is collaborative by working alongside and inpartnership with the senior nursing team, wider nursing colleagues and externalDHB’s / providers to provide an optimum service delivery for all users.

You will have :

  • Broad acute clinical experience and excellent collaborative skills that will enable you to communicate effectively across all disciplines and occupational groups.
  • Extensive nursing experience either clinically or in a relevant senior nursing role.
  • Expert clinical nursing knowledge with demonstrated leadership ability and sound people management skills.
  • A solution focused approach to your work with the ability to problem solve and think on your feet.
