We are looking for Mental Health Support Workers for our Regional Intellectual Disability Supported Accommodation Service (RIDSAS) across Wellington (Kapiti, Porirua).
We are contracted by the Ministry of Health to provide rehabilitation services for people with high and complex needs, who may have had contact with the justice system.
You will :
have both the experience and skills in safely supporting the rehabilitation of people with high and complex needs
confident and experienced in managing risk, maintain safety and meet the legal requirements specified by the Court
support clients to strengthen their capacity to be safe and a valued member of their family, whanau and the community
support people to live a healthy lifestyle
be able to work with a diverse range of people
assist people to develop and maintain community relationships and networks
be willing to develop new skills and gain National Certificate in Health and Wellbeing qualifications
be able to work a schedule that works across all 7 days of the week (including evenings, weekends and sleepovers)
