For the bus network, the first point of contact with system is our network of bus stops and shelters and there is an ongoing need for continuous improvement and upgrade to these assets.
This role provides key support to the Infrastructure Specifications team, particularly the Bus Minor Capital work area. No two days are the same, as there is always something new and different to be dealt with.
Key Responsibilities will include :
Attending internal delivery team meetings to review matters arising and provide decisions required in relation to capital programme matters.
Reprioritising capital programme elements in response to unforeseen budgetary matters of project cost and scope escalations.
Provide technical information and recommendations to a local board who wants to invest Local Board Transport Funding into new bus shelters in their area.
Work with the Chief Engineer office PT Design Lead to resolve design issues regarding a new bus stop / shelter proposal and approve any design from an operationally feasible / customer outcome perspective,.
Provide several technically correct, but informative and appropriately worded Customer Responses for Infrastructure Rapid Response Coordinator who manages the interface and workflow into and out of the team.
What are we looking for?
Minimum 7 years' experience in Public Transport / transport related role.
Experience in project and programme management and risk assessment
An understanding and appreciation of the workings and functions of Local Government
Experience in use of Microsoft office applications, GIS systems and Power BI
Relevant Tertiary Qualification in a technical o engineering discipline OR professional experience to demonstrate competence in the same field.
Preferred project and programme management qualification
GIS / Information management technical skills
Excellent excel skills
