    The Software Development Practice Lead will lead and drive a highly productive, growing development team across bespoke web and mobile development projects and SaaS product development, within the context of an Agile software development setting.

    What would I be doing?

    The Software Development Practice Lead will set the tone for all delivery from within the Development team, working across bespoke web and mobile development projects and SaaS product development.

    Complimented by a Technical Lead, the Development Practice Lead will be delivery and improvement orientated, retaining a very strong focus on external customers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, every time, with an experience that delights’.

    The Development Practice Lead will spend a lesser portion of the week in a hands on development capacity, and will otherwise work broadly across delivery through the agile process, project scheduling, client engagement, and ensuring the development team are well supported and productive with the culture, tools, processes and focus to really succeed.

    What do I need?

    Our ideal candidate will be an experienced professional, with a positive mindset, an encouraging approach, a very strong communicator, and with the strength of character to rally, drive and transform an internal team.

    We are looking for a shaper, a driver, somebody on a quest for improvement, and really able to set the tone in an established team environment.

    We would expect to see the following level of experience from the successful candidate :

  • A minimum of 10-15 years within an IT / Software development environment
  • At least 2-3 years in a Leadership role
  • A proven track record leading improvement and engagement within a professional software development setting.
  • Strong understanding and experience with Agile (Scrum)
  • A strong desire to engage with external customers
  • Hands on experience developing in technologies such as C#, PHP, JavaScript, SQL Server, Object C or Open source technologies
