Develop and maintain reporting tools and ad hoc analyses to enable insights to be drawn that support the day-to-day business decisions and operations.
This will be achieved by producing both standardised and custom reports aiming at improving operational efficiency.
Reporting & Insights
Improve operational efficiency by producing standardised, self-service reports.
Run routine reports, analyse them, identify and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Contribute to implementing best practice in analytics and visualisation techniques.
Assist business units with using self-service reports.
Help identify data integrity issues.
Support development of the wider team in best practice reporting, act as a role model and mentor
Assist the Reporting Manager as required
Support & Train
Assisting business units to develop self-service information reporting capabilities including training and mentoring staff across the business in how best to use information.
Utilise a deep understanding to assist other parts of the business looking to access and use data e.g. claims, premiums, membership.

Education, knowledge, experience and skill requirement
Tertiary degree in relevant discipline; finance, economics, statistics, mathematics
Financial analysis and / or analytical and reporting experience, 3+ years
High degree of mathematical and numerical proficiency
Strong communication skills
Strong IT systems knowledge Excel, Access, SQL, Business Objects other analytical software packages
Insurance industry experience - preferred
