  • Facilitate an effective development environment to ensure project deadlines are being met.
  • Supporting the delivery of critical systems and services to New Zealand.
  • Stack covers; Weblogic, Websphere, JBoss, DataPower, Subversion, and Git to name a few.

  • The purpose of this position is to ensure that the developing environment provides developers with the necessary server space, tools and permissions to support them in their day-to-day operations.
  • You will be expected to establish a scalable and flexible environment, manage various applications tools, capacity planning and more.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with bleeding-edge technologies in the future which include Git, AWS, Jenkins, DevOps practice, etc.

  • Work closely with Developers, Testers, Release Analysts, Architects and Security teams to ensure direction, compliance, and deliverables are being met.
  • Communicate with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Produce quality documentation to support and the design and development process.
  • Identify current problems / risks and escalate as appropriate.

  • Previous experience working in a large, enterprise-sized organisation helping facilitate non-production environments, applications, and change requests for both BAU and Project work.
  • Experience working with WebLogic and Subversion (or similar) is a must including sound shell scripting or development skills.
  • Sound technical writing and documentation skills with the ability to build positive relationships across the business.
  • Proven track recording troubleshooting and monitoring development environments with a sound understanding of middleware and integration components.
  • Previous experience with Java / JEE would be beneficial.
