About the Role

The role is diverse and provides a great opportunity for the right person to provide technical leadership and drive innovative solutions for our clients.

As a senior member of our national team you will play a key role in shaping the future of our business, winning and delivering a diverse range of projects and providing mentoring to our junior staff.

This role requires a Principal Hydrogeologist with a strong background in numerical and conceptual hydrogeological model development and applied data analysis to work in the New Zealand water resource, infrastructure, agriculture, mining, local and regional council sectors.

The purpose of this role is to provide technical advice on hydrogeological issues to internal and external clients, including numerical groundwater modelling.

This role will require a broad understanding of hydrogeology, a high level of technical report writing skills and project management skills and the ability to work within the Australia-New Zealand Water Resources Team.

The role will involve collaborative work with other disciplines to prepare proposals, and to manage and deliver both complex and smaller projects within the area of hydrogeology and water resource management.

Here's What You'll Need :

About You

  • Appropriate Engineering or Science tertiary qualification and demonstrated groundwater industry experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a track record in building, nurturing and maintaining relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A high degree of self-motivation and proactivity, and demonstrated ability to work effectively within diverse teams
  • A commitment to delivering quality outputs, with a keen eye for detail and technical excellence
  • Proven Project Management experience and commercial acumen applied through the full project lifecycle, from bid development to project delivery
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant New Zealand legislation as applied to resource, development and / or infrastructure projects
  • Working knowledge of relevant National groundwater legislation and policies, standards and guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills and exceptional technical report writing ability
  • Demonstrated experience working with and successfully mentoring junior staff
  • Experience in working collaboratively to develop and execute strategies and business plans
  • Experience in conceptual and numerical hydrogeological modelling
