  • We are "The Home of Kitchenware" and we are on the search for a manager at our Steven's store, located at The Base shopping centre.

    Our store showcases quality cookware including crockery, glassware, cookware, kitchen gadgets, bakeware, appliances and much more! If you love making food - you'll love working at Stevens!

    Working alongside a close knit team who are as passionate about Steven's products, we aim to provide a specialty service to our loyal customer base.

    As part of the James Pascoe Group, there are amazing staff discounts within the Steven's store and at other retailers associated with the group like Pascoes, Whitcoulls, Farmers and more! So, if you love shopping this is a great place to work!

    Although we will provide training and a solid induction, to be successful in this role you'll need to have :

  • A genuine passion for working in a customer-focused environment,
  • A positive attitude and creative flair to make our products look amazing and
  • Strong organisation skills, including being able to organise a team.
  • With the main focus on sales on service, you'll also need to be able to manage the financial performance of the store, controlling costs, rostering effectively and managing stock appropriately.

    Ideally, you'll be an Assistant Manager or Store Manager with solid retail experience but if you don't and you'd like to be considered, feel free to apply and tell us why you think you would be right for this role!

    If you want to progress your career, this position could be a stepping stone because we will provide a comprehensive induction, further training development and the option for mentoring.

    Most of our managers stay with the company for many years and there are ample opportunities for career growth both in the Waikato and further afield.

    The position is for 40 hours per week and will involve weekend work and flexibility for early starts or late nights as part of the management roster.
