About the role :

We have an opening for an IT Services Engineer to join the iConnect team.

The iConnect team is the primary interface for 1,700 North Wharf staff to interact with the Technology team and have achieved significant recognition and success since its inception 5 years ago.

Due to this success, we have also seen a growing number of staff outside of North Wharf making special trips over to iConnect to have their issues resolved.

So as an IT Services Engineer, you'll help the team continue to make great progress on worksmart initiatives and other technology improvements, resolve technology faults and answer technical questions, and also support floor walk activities (investigating desktops, meeting rooms, and cube) to ensure all technology is functioning correctly for our staff.

Your key focus areas will be to :

  • Deliver advanced technical support, advice, and guidance on-site to enable the restoration of normal services, ensuring customers experience a minimal adverse impact to business operations.
  • Distribute, install, and configure all aspects of our hardware technology throughout New Zealand.
  • Establish, implement, and carry out procedures for technology installation and support services function ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Receive and process telephone, electronic, face-to-face customer requests and incidents working in an on-site iConnect role based in C : Drive (Albany) and North Wharf (Wynyard Quarter).
  • The role is also at the heart of driving innovation across technology, process, availability and incident management - so the sky's the limit in recommending improvements with no idea too big or small.

    About you :

    Your 3 + years' tech installation and / or support experience will enable you to troubleshoot and problem solve hardware and software issues.

    Great communication skills are essential, as you'll be the face of iConnect for a variety of ASB employees. You'll be strong at building relationships across different types of customers, functional lines, and with 3rd party providers.
