What You Will Do
As an Art Director for our organisation, you will work with the design team and account managers to create and communicate the vision and strategy for creative materials across different types of media.
You will oversee the quality of work coming out of the department and are responsible for determining that the overall style is inline with the current brand standards.
In this role, you are also responsible for the creation of any style guides communicating brand execution and delivery.

It goes without saying that your creativity and eye for design will be prided amongst your top strengths. But more than that, you will be able to easily communicate your ideas and inspire the team around you to deliver quality work that drives business results.

Ability to delegate responsibilities
An understanding of marketing initiatives, and target audience
Hands-on experience that may include logo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, image selection, and package design
A creative and communicative multitasker with exceptional project and time management skills
Team player with strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Motivated to stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices
Willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in alongside the team to ensure delivery when needed
High level of accountability and motivation.

Proven working experience as Art Director or a similar role
Qualification in graphic design, marketing, or related field, or relevant experience
Extreme attention to detail and an eye for layout
Copywriting skills an advantage, though not essential
Flexible approach to working in a changing environment
Familiarity with GPS, GIS, or surveying systems is advantageous
Only applicants who are legally entitled to work permanently in New Zealand will be considered for this role.
Information About Your Location
You would be expected to return to the office along with the team when that time comes, however, with the option to work remotely one day a week.
We have flexibility in our team with regards to working hours and working from home, and we are happy to discuss this further throughout the course of the interview.
