Quality Control Technician
Reports to : Quality Control Supervisor

How you'll make an impact :
You'll be part of a friendly and dynamic team that supports our customers in the development of life changing drugs and vaccines.
We manufacture Gold Standard animal serum products in the world. In this role, you will be supporting the Quality Control function in performing testing and release of the final products.
What will you do?
Perform microbiology tests and environmental monitoring of facilities and utilities, which could include sterility, bacterial counts, fungal counts, mycoplasma testing, bacteriophage counts and other identification procedures as required.
Prepare and analyze a wide range of samples from raw materials to finished products in accordance with the standard operating procedures to ensure a high level of service is maintained.
Interpret scientific data and investigate any issues.
Maintain full traceability in line with GMP standards for all samples, records and documentation.
Day to day upkeep of equipment such as calibration and monitoring as well as general laboratory housekeeping.
Observe all safety rules to maintain safe work practices, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Conduct proactive hazard identification and report any accidents, incidents and near misses.
Writing, reviewing and issuing Quality Control documentation.
Conceive and participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to process improvements.
Working hours are 6 2 : 30pm Monday to Friday and potentially some weekend work
How will you get here?
Tertiary Science qualification, microbiology highly desirable.
Experience working in a quality control laboratory environment, microbiology testing highly preferred
Knowledge of quality control laboratory methods, quality assurance methods, and compliance standards including ISO9001 and general GMP requirements
