We are seeking applications for a Farm Assistant to work out our Selwyn based dairy farms.
This is not your ordinary farm role. We value work / life balance in a teaching environment - you will be working an average of 40 hours per week, paid on a salary basis.
Work with state of the art machinery and gain valuable skills working with experienced farm managers who are passionate about staff development and wellbeing.
The Ashley Dean Research and Development Station is a 470 cow farm located in Springston based on roughly 200 hectares. The farm operates a 54 bale rotary shed and is irrigated by two pivots and a lateral irrigator.
Calving happens once per year in spring.
Day to day tasks will vary but likely will be a mixture of :
This role pays up to $68,000 per annum total package. This includes an accommodation allowance of $300 / week, plus a clothing allowance of $520 / year.
Relocation allowance of up to $2,000 also available.
