He angitūtanga : The opportunity
As Parks Project Specialist, you’ll be involved in a diverse portfolio of work providing quality advice and technical input on varied projects across the Parks Services Unit.
This will include measuring and increasing the accessibility and diversity of Parks Services customer service offerings, supporting the delivery of sustainability and climate change related work, including the delivery of the Urban Ngahere (Forest) Strategy, and taking the lead in coordinating the delivery of some aspects of the Parks Sport and recreation Māori Outcomes Action Plan.

He kōrero mōu : About you
Alongside a relevant tertiary qualification (parks / open spaces, recreation, environment) and some experience working in the parks, open space, or recreation management area, we’re looking for someone who’s passion and values align with our vision, and who brings the ability to work successfully in partnership with a range of stakeholders and create excellent relationships and outcomes.
Experience in report writing, and involvement in projects or programmes which have significant impact on communities, would be highly advantageous.
