Based at our Penrose Corporate head office, you will be joining the Technology Operations function as part of our wider Group Technology Department where the primary objective is to deliver innovative Digital solutions and services to ensure value can be realised by business units.
As Programmer Analyst BI, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and implementing Fletcher Building’s application systems, including resolving issues and recommending enhancements when necessary.
The purpose of this role is to deliver robust solutions that meet business requirements within agreed timeframes and on budget.
This will be achieved through the direct accountability of the selection and implementation of best-in-class software development processes and methodologies.
You’ll utilise your solid understanding of how BI applications work and add value in day to day operations, systems enhancements, and new implementations.
This role will liaise with Programmer Analysts, providing advice and technical support when required.Your scope as Programmer Analyst - BI will see you play a key part in our end user service management, application enhancements and operations management by actively participating in the development and maintenance of the overall strategic plan for business applications.
About YouTo be successful in the role you will have 3+ years’ hands on experience in BI Applications and ETL tools. With a proven track record of delivering projects within budget, time and quality constraints within a large complex organisation, you’ll have the capabilities to clearly communicate schedules, plans, priorities, changes and progress to all those involved.
You’ll have strong knowledge of system design, development, testing and implementation methodologies including : Database and technical architecture concepts Procedural language such as PL / SQL Subversion control such as SVN and Git Agile and / or Lean principlesWith a customer centric mindset and the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with business leaders and users at all levels, you will have hands on experience in BI applications, web services, frameworks, and programming languages.
Most relevant technologies include Hadoop, SQL, CGI, Oracle BI, Qliksense. You will have successful experience in creating influential presentations that effectively communicate ideas, facts or requirements in day-to-day dealings with stakeholders.
