class steelmaker.About the roleNZ Steel is currently looking for a talented and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the Utilities Maintenance Team.
Reporting to the Superintendent, your primary focus will be to lead the multifunctional team, consisting of high voltage, low voltage and instrumentation personnel, in the maintenance of the utility plants and services.
This includes electrical and instrumentation equipment for the Utilities department, as well as high voltage equipment for New Zealand and Pacific Steel.

You will have a proven track record of instilling a safety-first culture and meeting key performance targets.You will have previous experience leading a team, demonstrated problem solving and decision-
making abilities, be able to accommodate changing priorities associated with operational demands and an uncompromising attitude to safety.
You will also have knowledge of maintaining and working with high voltage equipment, familiarity with reliability centred maintenance and continuous improvement principles.
Strong communication and organisational skills is key as this role requires interactions with multiple stakeholders across the business.
Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification in electrical engineering and a progressive career in industrial engineering or manufacturing spanning 5+ years.
