The OpportunityAre you a successful Dairy Leader / Dairy Professional looking to embark upon a new challenge? This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join Pāmu as a Business Manager of Dairy Operations, responsible for 6 Dairy Farms in our Central Plateau Complex.

The group of farms milks upwards of 20,000 cows across 13,000 ha. The successful candidate for this role will have in-depth knowledge and understanding of New Zealand dairy farming systems along with proven experience in farm management and highly developed leadership and people management skills.

We are looking for someone with a creative approach to problem solving and strong commercial acumen to help drive the success of these farms.

  • Proven practical, commercial, and leadership experience in Dairy Farming operations;
  • Extensive experience in managing budgets and strong commercial acumen;
  • First class attitude to Health and Safety, Animal Welfare, Environmental management and farm presentation;
  • Excellent knowledge and implementation of grazing and pasture management, feed budgeting and profit maximisation;
  • An enthusiastic approach to integrating modern technology into New Zealand dairy systems;
  • Attention to detail and proven history in process development to ensure the consistent and smooth running of farm operations;
  • Outstanding problem-solving ability and creativity;
