The Opportunity

Selleys offers a leading range of products predominantly distributed through the hardware and decorator channels. We are seeking a motivated salesperson to join our team and work with our customers across the Auckland region.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the management and sales of Selleys products. The role is accountable for delivering value to both the customer and the Selleys Retail Sales Team by providing a high level of professional service and field representation across all product channels.

You will manage both an established base of hardware retailers, decorators, and trade stores to develop in-store opportunities, build strong relationships, and provide superior customer service.

You will focus on achieving ongoing commercial growth; building strong relationships; and adding value to your customers through providing exceptional service and identifying opportunities to enhance category value and continuous improvement in customer relations.

Responsibilities include :

  • Meet with customers to drive sales opportunities and be the face of the brand
  • Presenting business reviews, new products, training sessions, retail, and trade events while building internal and external relationships across all levels
  • Build trust and credibility with customers by demonstrating sound brand and product knowledge
  • Manage your time effectively to support your customers and plan ahead to maintain visit and call cycles.

    Ideally, you can demonstrate :

  • Experience in account management or B2B sales within retail, preferably hardware industry
  • Proven skills managing customer relationships and building rapport with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse and comprehend data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A driven, enthusiastic, and positive work ethic
