Based from our Queenstown depot, we are on the look-out for a Gardener who is passionate about maintaining parks and reserves to join our Queenstown Lakes District team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the team Manager, you will be responsible for general garden maintenance including planting, pruning, spraying, hedge trimming, rubbish collection and supporting the Queenstown team where necessary.

The Success Factors

A level 3 certificate (or above) in amenity horticulture and a current growsafe certificate is preferred

Ideally you will have a minimum of 1 years gardening experience

A current full driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential

You will be able to work flexible hours to meet the client's requirements

You will be reliable, punctual, co-operative, have good communication skills and maintain positive working relationships.

You will be committed to being part of a wider team with a strong work ethic
