The Role :

Unique and unlike your typical L&D role, we operate in a complex business which offers variety, challenge and situations that will be new to even the most seasoned coordinator.

You will fully immerse yourself into the world of rail, specifically focused on learning and development under our Zero Harm strategy.

This role will give you the opportunity to make a real impact on how we do things and learn some really cool stuff along the way.

Fully responsible for the organising and scheduling for training within our enterprise-wide training programmes, this role includes the full suite of course management - everything from identifying when courses need to be run and facilitators to logistics, travel and managing a variety of stakeholders.

We work with a bespoke Learning Management System and the ability to transfer and interpret data is key. In a nutshell the Learning Coordinator spends their days problem solving and identifying incredible scheduling solutions to make their customers happy.

This would suit not only someone from an L&D background, but someone from scheduling, planning, event management etc. Initially based at our Stanley St location, the role will move to our Southdown location from June.

About You :

You have an inquisitive mind where you love to understand the world of operations and what people do. Site tours, sailings and train rides will see you gain the knowledge and build the relationships you will need.

You are an expert planner with an analytical mind like no other.

Specifically you have :

  • Knowledge of learning and development internal functions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
  • A Strong customer focus
  • An inquisitive mind which can provide fresh thinking and efficiencies
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • A Natural solutions focused attitude
  • Strong MS Office Skills particularly Excel Visio
  • This is a 12 month fixed term contract role commencing immediately. There is some flexibility around whether this role is 30 or 40 hours per week, depending on your preference and situation.
