If you are an experienced Risk & Assurance Advisor with experience developing and maintaining integrated risk and assurance framework embedding risk management, assurance, operational review and risk mitigation planning across major public or private programmes, then this opportunity might be of interest.

The purpose of this role is to develop risk management plans and support and advise the leadership team on the identification and proactive management of project risks, and mitigation planning.

This is a hands-on position that will require you to build effective relationships with stakeholders and provide technical leadership on complex risks to the wider team, with coaching and mentoring project staff on risk management aspects.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to) :

  • Develop the programme’s risk framework, risk register and risk mitigation plans, implementing and maintain these plans, carrying out regular risk workshops, and evaluate / analyse information to make key risk and assurance decisions / recommendations.
  • Provide high quality advice on plans on the identification of key risk and opportunities, and supporting the development of cost-effective strategies to best mitigate and manage the risk.

  • Drive a proactive approach to risk and embed a risk-aware culture, by working with key stakeholders and leading the engagement through consistency and use of best practice
  • Manage relationships and identify / implement continuous improvements
  • Key Requirements :

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Demonstrated experience backed by references in senior positions influencing senior level management and key stakeholders, managing risk and assurance processes and framework
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills with a focus on understanding the needs of customers and delivering value to them.
  • Ability to build organizational risk maturity and capability within a large programme
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
