  • Choices NZ offers an enriching opportunity to join the team to impact the people in your local community positively. As a Facilitator within the Invercargill area, you will join a passionate and collaborative team based throughout various regions in New Zealand.

    Our Facilitators work within a rewarding yet challenging environment. You will deliver results to three contracts : Employment Services (ES), Transition from Schools (TS) and the Employment Services in Schools (ESiS) Programme.

    These programmes support people with disability and health-needs across Southland to find meaningful employment. Our ES contract has you support people through job hunting, interviewing, CV writing and work experience securing long-term employment.

    The TS programme has you work with high ORS funded students, families and schools to build a plan for the future. The ESiS contract will find you coaching and supporting young people build employment skills (e.

    g. identifying avenues of interest to them and setting up job trials) together with their families and school representatives in the transition at the end of their High School journey into employment.

    Creating and maintaining solid relationships and networks in the community will ensure the success of this role and is suited to someone who enjoys connecting with people and is genuinely passionate about working with people to achieve their goals.

    You will bring :

  • Level 5 qualification or above ( essential )
  • Empathy for others and a passion for supporting people with a disability or health need
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with employers and community support networks
  • Practical written and verbal communication skills to support engagement, rapport building, and advocacy
  • Ability to self-direct, motivate, work independently, and willingness to learn
  • Resilience to continue to establish desired outcomes when things may not go to plan
  • Clean NZ Full Drivers License, and the ability to travel as required
