Site Manager Residential ConstructionWe are looking for a Site Manager with Residential experience for our client who is one of New Zealand’s highly regarded residential housing developers based North West of Auckland.
You will be joining a company with a proven track record of delivering high-quality homes. For this role, you need to be able to speak English as well as Chinese!DESCRIPTION OF DUTIESThe day to day site management of all project work includes but not limited to : Ensuring all the work and personal behaviour is in line with company standards, procedures, policies, and requirements.
Reading the entire project related paper files and assisting to select subcontractors under the director’s guidance and permission.
Driving the project’s schedule, planning to achieve key financial and construction targets and milestones.Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project.
Ensuring the specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and monitoring costs.Liaising with the clients, the owner, neighbours, other construction professionals and related government officials, sometimes members of the public.
Mentoring, coordinating and supervising subcontractors.Selecting and ordering materials when necessary.Ensuring Health and Safety standards on site in line with the industry standards.
Maintaining quality control procedures.Assessing and minimizing risk, finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up.
Updating project management system every day, writing reports, and keeping on top of paperwork.Involved in the earlier stages of the project, i.
e. project targeting, design stage, civil works.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED2-3+ years’ experience as a site manager in residential construction in New ZealandTarget oriented, self-disciplinedExcellent communication skills are a mustPossess an advanced understanding of plans and specificationsDemonstrable experience working in a contracting environmentAn ability to manage multiple sites and projectsExperience of project planning to achieve key financial and construction targets and milestonesStrong focus on both Quality and Health & Safety to ensure client / company and industry standards are met or exceededHold an NZ full, clean driver’s licenseGood English language skills, good oral Chinese language skill is a mustWHAT YOU WILL RECEIVEMarket-related salary (depending on experience)Company CarMobile Sim CardPlease note that while we welcome candidates with overseas experience for this position, it is essential to hold at least 3+ years within the NZ residential construction market.
