    About the role

    You will be managing the Payroll function, ensuring effective controls are in place to pay our people accurately and to comply with all relevant statutory and tax requirements.

    In this stand-alone role, with back up when required, you will be running end to end payroll including processing time sheets and handling pay runs of varying frequencies (fortnightly, monthly and one-off pay runs).

    You may also be involved in other adhoc tasks including reporting and some project work.


  • Run fortnightly and monthly pay runs end to end
  • Ensure pay runs are compliant and manage Payroll records
  • Process all Payroll adjustments including new employees and salary changes
  • Respond to any payroll related queries
  • Prepare and issue documentation and payments for compliance with statutory and tax requirements
  • Review, document and streamline a framework of processes and procedures
  • What are we after

  • Strong communication skills - clear, concise and articulate
  • In-depth knowledge of NZ payroll related legislation
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills and detail orientated
  • Customer focused with an ability to work with people at all levels
  • Excellent practice and knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of Preceda payroll system is preferred but not essential
