This engineering practise needs someone who has undertaken project management for structural engineering projects, with great technical knowledge and is capable of moving into a leadership role (if they are not in one already) to help our more junior staff and help grow our Auckland office (staff and project growth).

This is a great opportunity for someone that has good people skills (internal staff and clients / architects etc), technically sound, experience with the financial management of an office and experience in business development.

About your new company

The office is modern and in a prime location in Auckland, close to the CBD, the location is close to a train station and bus route.

A car park could be included for the right person.

They are involved in a wide variety of projects, they focus across Auckland has been large aged care projects along with seismic engineering for Auckland Council and a range of modular type builds for private clients.

You and the team would be involved in a range of work across Residential / Industrial / Commercial / Seismic Assessment & Strengthening.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone that is CPEng accredited (or close to obtaining it) and holds a relevant tertiary qualification that complies with the Washington Accord.

You will have a proven track record in design solutions for structural / civil engineering projects, that will include seismic engineering and be operating as a Senior Engineer or above.

If you already working as a Manager looking after a range of Engineers and Designers (CAD or Revit) this would be ideal.

  • We are also looking for the following attributes and experience;
  • Leadership experience - leading a team and / or projects
  • Financial management (including use of appropriate software)
  • Experience with ETAP and thorough understanding of design and analysis of high rise structures
  • Sound communication skills - written and verbal
  • Experience with business development, tenders and contracts
