healthAlliance is one of New Zealand’s largest shared services providers. We support the four Northern Region District Health Boards (DHB’s) with technology shared services.

The role will work across teams and will include mentoring other teams to adopt and improve Major Incident and Problem management approaches .

The position is available due to an internal promotion , is permanent and will be based in Penrose

Technology plays a significant role in the delivery of quality healthcare services and improving patient experiences. We work in collaboration with the DHBs to support their extensive ICT enterprise and to safely accelerate their digital transformation journey improving the way health information is shared across the region to support better patient care.

  • You enjoy following and motivating others in ensuring that the Major incident and Problem Management process is adhered to
  • Facilitate the resolution of both Major Incidents and Problems
  • What we need to see from you

  • Strong Incident and Problem management experience, in an enterprise environment
  • Experience working in a large, complex, multi-organisational environment
  • Extensive experience in, and familiarity with, the ITIL framework
  • An understanding of project methodologies
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or similar is essential

    This requirement results from healthAlliance being a provider of services to the health sector, meaning that many of our staff interact closely with staff from (and at) DHBS.

    Further, in the event of incidents and emergencies, our Connect building must be available for DHB staff to use as a backup site.

    As a result, all of our staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID 19 under the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021.
