We are looking for an energetic and motivated Venues Sustainability Officer to act on Council sustainability goals and objectives as they pertain to the Venues and Events.
We have a 12 month, part-time, (20 per hour week) opportunity in the role of Venues Sustainability Officer. The role predominantly will work across TSB Showplace, TSB Stadium, Yarrow Stadium, Bowl of Brooklands and Festival of Lights to provide education and best practice advice on matters of waste minimisation and sustainability, to team members, contractors and clients.
We are looking for someone who is solutions focused with excellent communication skills to establish relationships and facilitate change.
Having a tertiary qualification and / or experience in event organisation, waste minimisation, behaviour change or environmental management.
Knowledge of resource recovery and waste generation, collection and handling processes would be an advantage.
You will need to be flexible in hours and have the ability to work on the occasional weekends or evenings at events where you will be the Event and Venues public face and have no problem being hands on when required.
