    The DHB Performance, Support and Infrastructure directorate ensure strong effective relationships and provide leadership and support to ensure DHBs deliver on and are accountable for their operational, capital and financial performance.

    We also deliver major health infrastructure projects for the Crown; process payments and administer contracts for health care services.

    The focus of the DHB Funding team is to manage the model for the distribution of funding across the health sector, including the Population Based Funding Formula, funding for Planned Care, ACC funded Hospital activity and the National Cost Collection and Pricing Programme.

    As our Programme Manager you will be repsonsible for leading the National Cost Collection and Pricing Programme, a joint Ministry of Health and DHB programme that determines reference costs and prices for DHB provided services.

    You will hold responsibility for programme planning, documentation and delivery of outputs while ensuring delivery of high quality, consistent and timely analysis and advice to stakeholders.

    DHB Funding covers the breadth of the health system and as such the information base is vast, so an appetite for learning is essential.

    This is a fixed term position for 12 months.

    We're looking for people who have :

  • Demonstrated ability to organise and manage a work programme, prioritise work, manage risk, follow through on tasks to their successful conclusion and to meet deadlines
  • The ability to analyse and communicate complex information in simple and clear ways to enable effective decision making
  • Experience in influencing people and leading the successful delivery of work programmes
  • Experience in coaching and supervising staff
  • An understanding of costing and pricing methodologies
  • Regardless, you'll have a collaborative approach to work, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
