The nuts and bolts :

This role exists to work on complex client cases and manage customer accounts within our Instep Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and provide specific mental health expertise to support staff development and case handling as well as lead our Addiction support programme.

You'll be happy to spend a small amount of your time talking with vulnerable people, and their managers, in our Call Centre to arrange support for them.

We see the main areas of this role as :

  • Managing relationships with some of our major client organisations
  • Understanding how we work and identifying possibilities for growth and improvement
  • Developing and leading the Instep Addiction Services programme
  • Researching and keeping up to date with best practice in Addiction Services (particularly alcohol and drug) and relevant workplace health and safety guidelines
  • Using your professional knowledge and experience in mental health to support and provide guidance to Instep staff when dealing with complex case management
  • To be successful in this role, you'll relate to the following :

  • Be discreet and professional, you'll live our strong values
  • Perhaps you no longer wish to practice as an Addiction & Drug Counsellor but would still like to use your expertise to help keep people safe and healthy
  • Have a minimum of 3 years working in counselling or psychology
  • Attained a tertiary qualification in a related field
  • Knowledge of addiction programmes and practices
  • Have the desire and ability to grow relationships with large well-known kiwi organisations
  • The ability to really listen and tease out what clients and organisations need support with
