    Location : Auckland, Waikato / Bay of Plenty, Wellington

    The newly formed Infrastructure function at Oranga Tamariki is responsible for managing the property assets of the Ministry to ensure all those who work in and are cared for by Oranga Tamariki feel safe, secure and valued.

    We are seeking 3 Property and Facilities Managers for the Auckland, Waikato / Bay of Plenty and Wellington Regions. This is an exciting opportunity to make positive change to the lives of those who interact with Oranga Tamariki.

    The Role :

    As one of Oranga Tamariki’s property specialists you will manage all the property aspects relating to Oranga Tamariki homes and sites in your region.

    This includes acquiring and disposing of property and accommodation, managing all maintenance and modifications to properties and providing expert advice to inform decision making on property future needs.

    You will work closely with the Regional Delivery Managers on large scale projects and re-fits as part of Oranga Tamariki’s five year programme of work to upgrade and expand front line sites across the country.

    What will you bring?

  • A minimum of 5 years commercial property management experience within a large organisation
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Passionate about making a real change to the lives of Tamariki and Children.
  • Ability to communicate and present complex ideas in engaging and easy to understand terms.
  • Solid understanding of financial data and support recommendations with quantitative data.
  • Experienced in managing multiple contracts, supplier and service level agreements.
  • Have outstanding communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
