Key responsibilitiesEnsure Operational Health and SafetyDirect responsibility for all operational colleaguesWeekly capacity evaluation for each resource to define manpower and shift requirements for the oncoming weekLeading production team to achieve production targets in a safe and efficient mannerMonitor COOISPI and TR cockpits in SAPTroubleshoot equipment breakdownsManage engineering / maintenance projectsMonitor raw material availability after Quality Assurance clearancesDaily measurement, review and management of cost driversInvestigate stock variances and implement corrective measuresMonitor the efficiency of lines as per OEE methodology, working out the loss elimination through analysis and review with Production teamImplement Continuous improvement tools of problem solving for boosting Efficiency, Productivity and waste reductionEstablish strong quality and food safety systemsManage Cleaning Programs for the Production Facility, Surrounds, Equipment and the WarehouseEnsure strict adherence to company practices on recycling and sustainabilityRecruitment, performance reviews, training, corrective action, team development, time keeping & disciplinary proceedings of team membersMaintain an engaged and team-oriented team to meet business demandsQualifications and skillsDegree in Food Science / Technology or related disciplineMinimum of 5 years working experience in leadership capacity in the food manufacturing industryWorking knowledge of food laws must have prior relevant experience in the food industryUnderstanding of product certification programs such as Kosher, Halal and OrganicUnderstanding policies related to international productsUnderstanding of best practiceUnderstands aspects of TQM i.
