SERVICE DELI & BAKERY 2ICWe are looking for an exceptional, dynamic, 'hands on' Service Deli / Bakery 2IC with a passion for food, to assist in managing our Service Deli / Seafood and Bakery Departments.
This role is split across two departments, assisting the Deli / Bakery manager, as such your week will involve working in both deli and bakery.
While this role includes bakery production, and retail deli work, previous experience as a qualified baker or deli worker is not a requirement, as we will provide full training to the right candidate.
What is essential is that you have a passion for food, flair and creativity and are willing to try new things!This role is strongly customer focused you will be interacting directly with customers, and that interaction drives our business.
Great customer service is a must!You should also have a strong understanding of food safety and health & safety as it applies to food production and sale in New Zealand.
Responsibilities Include : Effectively managing the team in the absence of the department manager, from assisting with recruitment, to overseeing training, review and development.
Ensuring that the full range and sufficient quantity of high quality, fresh Service Deli and Bakery products are available for sale at the correct price to customers at all times during opening hours to meet their requirements.
Also identifying which items require replenishment, getting the stock, preparing it as required and filling the displays.
Ensuring the displays look full and fresh, clean and are attractively presented with the best quality products so our customers receive an outstanding shopping experience.
Creating and maximising increased sales opportunities and achieving and maintaining gross profit, store share and wage targets.

Performance and results motivated. Experienced in food handling and food safety programs.Exact days and hours of work will be discussed at interview.As we are a 7-day a week business, some weekend and early morning work will be required.
