Who are we?
About the role
Providing support within our Emergency Housing service, this role is focused on providing practical support to people to retain their tenancies and work through any issues that may be impacting the tenancy.
You will be focused on guiding tenants through the Ministry of Social Development system, accessing health and education services where required, to enable whānau to reconnect with their wider community and ultimately sustain their tenancy.
The service delivery side of this role will require you to work and coordinate with your colleagues in tandem to support whānau through their journey, providing a safe environment and supporting them with their goals and daily tasks.
This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am - 8.00pm.
We are looking for someone who is positive, flexible, vibrant, confident and passionate about supporting our people.
You will enjoy working creatively, autonomously and effectively in an interdisciplinary team, being able to communicate with a diverse range of people.
You will need to think on your feet, remain calm under pressure and really encourage our clients along their journey.
You'll naturally be a problem solver, quick thinker and enjoy connecting with the community. You'll use your non-judgemental empathetic attitude and belief to encourage clients to change and grow.
