The Project

The B2B project involves the construction of two major intersections on the main route to the Port of Tauranga along SH2 and SH29A, between Bayfair shopping mall and BayPark Stadium.

Traffic Management wise an extremely changing project requiring deployment of multiple traffic and pedestrian shifts whilst maintaining traffic flows.

Your Opportunity

We are seeking to appoint a Traffic Manager to join the team. You will report to the Project Manager and be the lead representative for all traffic and road safety related issues.

Core responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Ensure traffic management measures are planned, implemented and maintained in accordance with best practice and achieve a high level of safety.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the project’s traffic management activities to ensure the traffic management KRA objectives are achieved and maintained.
  • Our projects connect people and communities, play a key role in urban and rural development, and provide vital, long-term infrastructure.

  • Manage the projects Traffic Management and line marking sub-contractors
  • Effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders including design and construction teams, New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA), Local Councils, Police, emergencies service agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the design and construction teams by providing advice on all traffic and road safety related issues.
  • Development of TMPs and managing the Traffic Management budget
  • Ideally you will have a tertiary Engineering qualification or related course of study with 10 years’ relevant experience in the construction industry.
