  • You will work with the Project Manager all through the project lifecycle from beginning to end of a client project, as they provide services designed to help companies in their efforts to improve.

    You will be responsible for providing key services to the project team which include : - Support / lead the project control functions on a range of projects, with varying levels of complexity- Update cost controls to reflect budget, actual and forecast costs and modelling of change impacts to inform decision making- Quality control of timesheet management for all staff and contractors on the project and liaising with project management to address any issues that arise- Review sub-contractor invoices and costs for appropriateness and approval for payment - Collate, compile and issue project status reports- Working with the project manager, develop forecast expenditure baseline and undertake monthly review and updates- Processing and payment of invoices, invoice reconciliation, co-ordinating accounts payable and accounts receivable processes- Ability to provide guidance regarding profit or loss (variance), tracking and controlling the budgets, revenue recognition, variation requirements and the analysis of financial reports - Ensuring project is adhering to project management best practices and controls - Proactive scheduling and participation of regular project meetings - Developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships About the team Deloitte’s Auckland Project, Programme and Portfolio (P3M) team work with a variety of clients across multiple industries and technologies.

    We are looking for an experienced Project Controller to join our team and work across the practice to bring consistent quality and control to our engagements.

Your skills which set you apart from the crowd : · Experience in a project financial tracking and reporting role, with a solid understanding of finance principles· Must be great with MS Office with advanced MS Excel skills· Strong organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking · Confident communicator with the ability to build trust across multiple stakeholders· Experienced in adhering to tight project deadlines· A self-sufficient, motivated individual who has excellent written and verbal communication skills· Skills in solving problems, making decisions, and resolving conflicts Preferred skills : · Experience working with a variety of contracting types (e.

    g., time and materials, fixed price) and billing situations· Commercial acumen and consulting experience would be a bonus· PMO Environment or Programme / Portfolio Management along with a solid understanding of project practices and methodologies· IT or Digital related project experience Next Steps Sound like the sort of role you looking for?
