    This vacancy is for two new intensive support residential services we are opening in South & Central Auckland where we are recruiting for full time and part time permanent positions on a 24-7 basis, with rostered shifts Monday to Sunday.

    This would also include working overnight.

    Due to the volume of roles we are looking to recruit, we are running a group interview assessment centre for this role. This will be held on Tuesday 16th March in Penrose, and will be a chance for you to get to meet the people you will be working closely with and go through a different kind of interactive, fun, more relaxed interview process.

    What does a Support Worker do?

    Our support workers assist people who access our services to live as independently as possible, in their community. Support workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24 / 7 wrap around support with responsibilities including providing assistance with personal care, community outings and other aspects of daily living.

    All our clients have their own goals and hobbies - no two days are the same and you will enjoy a variety of activities and outings so this role would suit somebody who enjoys getting out and about.

    50 per hour, with the opportunity to progress once you have completed our fully funded NZQA training and qualifications.

    What are we looking for?

  • Experience supporting adults with all aspects of daily living, including complex personal care (showering, dressing) preferred however not essential
  • Knowledge of physical and intellectual disabilities
  • Ability to confidently and safely transport passengers in our disability van
  • Be able to work on a 24 / 7 roster including nights and weekends
  • Live locally to one of the above mentioned locations
