An exciting opportunity has arisen for a personable and experienced executive assistant to work with the Chief Medical Officer.

This key position will provide proactive, high quality and timely secretarial and administrative support to the Chief Medical Officer.

The hours of work will be 40 hours a week.

You will be an experienced, organised individual with excellent time management and decision making skills. The desire to succeed in a challenging and changing work environment will be a key to success in this role.

General Information

MidCentral District Health Board employs more than 2500 staff at Manawatu, Palmerston North, Tararua and Horowhenua and Otaki districts.

Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000.

In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.

Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures.

Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
