Are you a speech language therapist with a passion for providing outpatient and community based intervention?
Waikato hospital Speech Language Therapy department has an exciting opportunity for a speech language therapist to join our team.
The role will be predominately based in outpatient and rural clinics, providing assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders for adults.
It will also involve providing early community based communication and swallowing rehabilitation for patients discharged from hospital after an acute stroke.
The position would suit a speech language therapist with at least 2 years clinical experience in a health setting, but we will also consider new graduates with relevant recent clinical placements.
You will work within a close team that provide speech language therapy services to adults and children across the Waikato region.
The speech language therapy team work in a variety of areas including inpatient medical and surgical wards, critical care, outpatient clinics, rural hospitals, inpatient rehab, child development centre and the cleft lip and palate clinic.
There will be opportunities to gain clinical experiences across these areas.
