About the role

TheCanterbury District Health Board Information Services Group is continuing totransform and build capability across our services.

Our kapa (team) provides awide and complex set of ICT solutions, supporting our Business and Clinical kapa(teams) based in Canterbury and the West Coast as well as for other DistrictHealth Boards nationwide.

Wehave an exciting opportunity for an experienced, rangatira tangata (people-centric Team Leader) to providea service across all Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutionswhile maintaining and delivering the ISG work plan.

This Team Leader role willentail being a valued partner of the business to support us in achieving ourgoals.

Thisis a permanent, full-time role based on Walker Street in central Christchurch.

This role will be responsible for :

Leadingthe infrastructure kapa (team)

Mentoring,leading and guiding the infrastructure kapa (team)

Beingpart of the technical leadership kapa (team), where you will lead technicalchanges and raise any challenges

Ensure ahigh quality, consistent and effective service

Managingresources for effective work prioritisation

Providinga customer-centric service

Provisioningthird line support service for incidents not resolved within second lineservice levels, including management of the request queues

Maintainingand reviewing system performance and operating systems

Implementingservice improvement plans

Developingand maintaining administration procedures, articles and other documentation

Managingthe operational budget, forecasting and reporting

Reporting,monitoring and reviewing the quality of service

We are looking for a leader that can drive theteam forward while navigating change from traditional infrastructure managementto a DevOps paradigm.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to leada kapa (team) to provide a high level of tautoko (support) and service.

This role will require you to be adaptable, resilient and solution-driven.

This role requires the following :

Experience in leadershipor management role, including mentoring and supporting a team

Experience in the IT industry

Knowledge of Agile methodology

Experience working in a large organisation, as well as a projectenvironment, would be beneficial

A Post-graduate University Degree in Information Technology, ComputerScience, Engineering or a related field is preferable

Knowledge and uphold the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Communication andinterpersonal skills

Technical Skills :

Understanding of ActiveDirectory and Group Policy, DNS and DHCP management

Experience in Citrix (XenApp) and VMWare Server virtualisationtechnologies

Experience in Microsoft range including VMware, Windows Server2008 / 2012 / 2016, Microsoft Exchange Server and Windows 7 / 10

Knowledge of System Centre Configuration Manager - SCCM

Knowledge of endpoint protection

Knowledge of Enterprise Device Management

VB or PowerShell Scripting, administration of Microsoft IIS or othersimilar technologies and systems design & implementation

An understanding of a broadrange of Enterprise Technologies, including Storage, Backup and databaseservers, Unix / Red Hat environment, DevOps;

Server administration, MSSharePoint, project management disciplines and Service Management (ITIL)
