The purpose of this role is to partner with assigned areas of the business to deliver strategic and operational change management support.

This high impact role will focus on strong partnership with AIA NZ business units undergoing substantial change, to support successfully delivery and adoption of change for integration and other strategic initiatives as part of AIA’s largest acquisition deal.

The role will be required to build and deliver portfolio change management practices as well as lead end to end delivery change management for specific initiatives.

The role will work closely with key senior stakeholders including ELT, SLT, Integrated Enterprise Strategic Delivery (IESD) project teams, and Subject Matter Experts (SME) across NZ and AU to deliver a positive integration experience for our people, end-

customers, partners and regulators / other external stakeholders that is deemed best practice change management for such deals across all AIA markets.

Key responsibilities : Deliver an experience for our people, end-customers, partners and other external stakeholders that aligns with the desired outcomes defined by the executive and other key stakeholder groups.

  • Be responsible for setting AIA up for success and delivering an integration experience that is a best case example to utilize across AIA in other markets for any future acquisitions and bancassurance opportunities;
  • Use negotiating skills to influence prioritisation conversations with SLT and ELT in relation to change impacts and risks to the business;
  • Be able to identify and implement required actions to mitigate resistance to change, including coaching SLT and ELT to understand behaviour and adoption gaps;
  • Contribute to the build of a trans-Tasman change management framework that aligns with best practice in order to achieve the abovementioned experienceSupport the Head of Change Management NZ to design and implement a new capability across the organization;
  • Lead the change management activities across a number of initiatives, including Portfolio Management in highly impacted business units, working closely with ELT, SLT and transformation roles within the business and the IESD in order to achieve success;
  • Strategic reporting skills to identify summary level impacts, and integration impacts on other business units;Needing to identify BAU and project change impacts, where there is little understanding of changeReport and escalate key risks and issues that impact on our ability to deliver on the desired integration experience, and ensure these risks and issues are actively managed or mitigated with change management interventions including, but not limited to, communications, knowledge management and training.

    Support the successful implementation of all assigned change initiatives into AIA through : Design and execution of effective change risk and impact assessmentsDevelopment and execution of Change Management, Communication, Training and Business Readiness strategies and plans.

    Development of supporting documents that will enhance the change initiative, including capturing change impacts and capacity through reportingPlanning and coordinating the change mitigation strategies with the business.

    Develop and implement post implementation support model that supports business through change.Coaching more junior change management team members (if required)The role will be highly influential and be required to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
