We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. In return, we offer a competitive package and a wide range of employee benefits! You'll be working in one of New Zealand's leading Environmental and Engineering Consultancies, inside a well-regarded Health, Safety + Wellbeing team, where you will work alongside skilled practitioners to deliver a great client experience and outstanding results.

You'll primarily be looking after our regional island offices - Christchurch, Nelson, so your base can be any of these places, although either Christchurch or Auckland is preferred.

With a visit to each of the regional offices once a month (if home office is not one of these locations).

You will be a trusted Health and Safety advisor, providing specialist Health and Safety advice for the areas where T+T operates.

Leading engagement through regular site observations, inspections, meetings, trainings, and audit. This is a role that offers variety - our work environments include corporate office space through to building and construction sites which can include dams and coastal structures.

Na tōu rourou What you'll bring

  • 5-7+ years' experience in similar roles, ideally in the construction sector
  • ICAM investigation training and experience
  • Audit training and experience
  • Familiarity with both AS / NZS4801 and ISO45001 standards
  • Great communicator, smart and assertive
  • Strong organisational skills - you use common sense and know how to get things done
  • Able to manage priorities and work autonomously
  • Have a 'continual improvement mindset'
  • Flexible and able to relate well with others (internal stakeholders, and external suppliers)
  • Grad Dip OSH, NEBOSH or equivalent HSW qualifications.
  • Presentation skills - ability to share concepts with large groups.
  • A collaborative influencer - we are looking for an educator, not an enforcer
