In this role you will be responsible for :
Client Service and Development
Definition, and operationalisation of the New Zealand business strategy for Affinity business (defined as Scheme & Affinity business covering Motor, Device, Sponsor Schemes & Segments & Sharing Economy Business).
Business assessment of growth levers, potential of existing clients to gain new and expanded business from strategy to go live across multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
Oversees client relationships to ensure client satisfaction through distinguished service delivery and customized solutions.
Maximises the success of the practice by providing in-depth knowledge of the existing client base. Develops relationships with most important Associations and key clients in the practice.
Support, lead and close new business opportunities working in close alignment with International Affinity specialist resources and the regional affinity team.
This will also extend to include the provision of digital solutions.
Align with other specialty functions in cross-collaboration projects to grow the practice in New Zealand including but not limited to Employee Health & Benefits, Marsh Specialty practices, Corporate & Commercial etc.
Works with various Marsh resources such as specialty, placement, and client consulting groups, for the benefit of clients and prospects.
Participates in meetings with carriers and placement personnel to ensure quality service and is responsible for the expanded use of and negotiations regarding broker service agreements.
Networks among the senior level executives of clients and prospects in order to become known as the one ultimately responsible for the account.
Institutionalises the strategic and conceptual sales process in the office.
Creates an awareness of Marsh as one-firm in the community through involvement in various professional groups
Develops and is accountable for the budget and business plan for the practice
Monitors the profitability of client accounts.
Exercises expense controls and maximises revenue and net operating income within the practice.
Determines the allocation of income between client industry and specialty groups, where necessary.
Ensures that quality standards are adhered to in all aspects of the practice and is responsible for all contractual and regulatory compliance.
Communicates the overall affinity practice strategy and performance against established goals.
Implements at the local office level decisions made by senior Marsh management and coordinates with the insurance brokerage practice as necessary.
Coaches the client advisors and client executives.
Personally participates, counsels and coaches other staff on the business development process.
Training and mentoring of junior employees.
Provides day-to-day coaching on the servicing and development of client and prospect relationships.
