The Role : Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity now exists for a proven commercial leader to join our team in the pivotal role of Group Financial Accountant.
Reporting to the Financial Controller this role covers 62 retail / trade sites & 8 manufacturing locations. If you want to step up in your career this position offers you the platform to do so.
Leading an experienced and engaged team dedicated to working with a Can do attitude, you will manage all aspects of financial accounting and consolidate all records across 2 ERP systems while utilizing Hyperion & Excel to provide commercial insights.
Key responsibilities will also include -Ensuring integrity of reporting, month end adjustments and reconciliationsCompliance with IFRS & Fletcher Building Group policies and reporting requirementsMonthly, six-monthly and annual accounts produced on time and in compliance with internal / external requirementsPreparing GST / FBT / Income Tax returns as requiredCalculating and maintaining the recharge / annual insurance accrualsRegularly review and monitor appropriate internal controls and fulfill audit requestsAssist in budgeting and forecasting as necessaryTake the lead for finance related projectsAbout You : You have real examples and experience from working within large corporate and high-volume environments while growing commercial success and stakeholder relationships.
You’re a clear communicator and exhibit a genuine desire to become a key part of the leadership team.As the ideal candidate you will also possess the following experience and traits : 5-10 years’ experience in financial accounting / management rolesBachelor Business / Commerce in Accounting with a NZICA recognised CA qualificationAbility to work with stakeholders across various levelsNaturally influential with both your team and your stakeholdersStaff and team leadership, coaching and management experienceStrong ERP system experience and highly competent with MS ExcelBig corporate - you will be accustomed to the size of our business and have an understanding of the complexities that this holdsWhat’s on offer?
